Jason Hodges served as the landscape architect for the revitalization of the historic "Marienfield" convent in Stanton, Texas. This project transformed a neglected West Texas landmark into a vibrant community gathering space. The design encompasses the restoration of the 1884 adobe monastery, reconstruction of the original St. Joseph’s chapel, and the replanting of the vineyard and orchard. A key feature is the creation of an inviting outdoor plaza with a pavilion, gardens, and water features, designed to host celebrations, spiritual retreats, and educational programs. Hodges' landscape design plays a crucial role in creating a "living historic" site, seamlessly blending preservation with contemporary needs, and fostering a renewed appreciation for the region's rich history and cultural heritage.
