From gravel parking lot to vibrant community hub, the LHUCA Plaza is a testament to the transformative power of landscape architecture. Designed by Jason Hodges, this dynamic outdoor space now boasts native and adapted plantings, pedestrian-friendly lighting, and an inviting entry plaza. A performance stage and thoughtful streetscape design, including food truck access, make the plaza a versatile venue for a wide range of events. Accommodating over 420 seated guests and 500 standing, the plaza provides a beautiful and functional backdrop for weddings, receptions, festivals, and more, complete with a shade structure, outdoor restrooms, and convenient electrical access. LHUCA Plaza is ground-zero for Lubbock's First Friday Art Trail, a community-wide celebration of arts and culture that draws thousands of visitors each month.
