Private Residence

Project Overview:

Tejas Ranch is a private residential landscape designed to combine striking curb appeal with everyday livability. The homeowners envisioned a space that was both beautiful and functional—a low-maintenance retreat that supports family life, outdoor entertaining, and personal connection to the land. Prairie Workshop designed the site as a series of comfortable outdoor rooms that transition seamlessly from the street frontage to private gathering areas, gardens, sports courts and a swimming pool.

Design Intent:

The design blends Texas regional character with contemporary outdoor living. Layers of native and adapted plants provide year-round texture and color while framing key views and enhancing privacy. Outdoor spaces were organized for multiple uses—large family gatherings, children’s play, gardening, and quiet relaxation—integrated with stormwater systems that manage runoff naturally. Every element was chosen for long-term durability and minimal maintenance, ensuring that the landscape remains as functional as it is inviting.
