Discovery Mall

Texas Tech University - Lubbock, TX

Discovery Mall was created as an east-west pedestrian corridor on the Texas

Tech Campus as a result of the demolition of an old academic building and

construction of a new research laboratory and residence hall.

This linear park space features a 10' wide concrete shared-use path (bicycles

and pedestrians), landscaped garden nodes where paths converge and public

art sculpture by Jesus Moroles.

This major addition of campus green space provides a vital connection from

commuter parking and residence halls to core academic buildings.
